About Rugs from Taimeh:
Taimeh is one of many villages near the city of Hamadan in Iran. Taimeh typically weaves rugs with this very same design featuring a medallion and corners that have this tooth pattern around it. Taimeh mostly does their version of a Herati pattern. Unlike most villages near Hamadan; Taimeh is double-wefted in construction. This make Taimeh different from its neighbor Zagheh, which weaves similar rugs. Overall, Taimeh makes good quality rugs, with quality wool and at a reasonable price.
Condition of this Taimeh:
This rug has a very soft, low but even wool pile. The fringe and selvage is in good condition. There is a repair that is pointed out in the pictures. Overall, great rug for the price! This rug is a one of a kind, hand-knotted work of art from Iran.
